Fear is ever present, yet the Scripture tells us repeatedly to “be courageous”, and to
“fear not”. Yes, bad things happen to good people. That is simply a consequence of
living in a fallen world. Disease and death and misfortune are things we contend with
and yet God tells us to “fear not”. We can accomplish this by trusting Him. Not that He
will rescue us from every bad or uncomfortable situation, but that He is in control and
will set everything to rights in His Kingdom.
